Glenn Hopkins loved a party and he loved his lime green race shirts, and his Wellness Warriors, his name for walkers and runners. We can’t think of a better way to preserve his memory and keep his vision alive than to celebrate his life with us by participating in The Main Place’s Glenn Hopkin’s Memorial 5k Family Fun Run and Walk on Sunday, March 13, 2022.

Glenn also had a vision to create an Art Studio and Space where those individuals who live with mental health and/or Substance Use issues, can use their talents to create art and advocate for better outcomes.

We hope you will join us in this day of celebration, wear your green and dress for the occasion. Glenn would have loved to see you in your best Saint Patrick’s Day attire.

Most of our Members who attend the center live below the federal guidelines for poverty. We would love to see more Members be able to attend the 5k and enjoy the day. While you are registering yourself, think about sponsoring a Main Place Member so they can join us. You can donate to The Main Place at 112 South 3rd St and we will make sure our members who want to participate will be registered.

Everyone will receive a medal

Race proceeds will go to build a new Art Space/studio and gallery for consumers to create and sell their artwork, which was a dream of Glenn’s while he was the Executive Director.
